Polygon today reported that they had received information pertaining to the new gaming initiative slated to be revealed early next year by Disney, titled Disney Infinity.

According to the article, “Disney Infinity will be an open-world sandbox game that combines the best of Minecraft creation with the absurdity of Just Cause‘s over-the-top action moments, all in a child-friendly world populated by iconic Disney and Pixar characters.”

The world will be able to be interacted with over a variety of platforms, including consoles, tablets and phones. More information should be available January 15, with the official unveiling of Infinity.

New Humble Bundle Released

Fresh on the heels of Humble Bundle’s controversial THQ bundle, they’ve released a new bundle that includes 6 games, and a movie.

The movie, redeemable through Steam, as are all the other games, is Indie Game: The Movie, the award winning documentary which explains the independent game market while profiling some of it’s biggest stars.

All other games are, in true Humble Bundle fashion, available for Mac and Linux as well, with games such as Shank 2 and Legends of Grimrock making their debut on those operating systems.

The bundle will be available to purchase for two weeks, and has, in it’s first day, already raised over half a million dollars. Check it out here.

Originally planned to be a launch feature of the WiiU, Nintendo today announced that the feature would hit consoles December 20, meaning that WiiUs unwrapped on Christmas will have the feature ready to be used.

“Nintendo TVii maximizes Wii U owners’ current cable, satellite and video-on-demand services by pulling all of their available content sources – such as a Comcast cable package or Hulu Plus subscription – into one place,” according to a Nintendo press release. The application will not allow Netflix, Amazon Prime, or TiVo compatibility  though Netflix has it’s own WiiU application.

Support for TiVo and Netflix is expected in 2013. TVii is free to all WiiU owners and does not require an additional purchase or hardware.
